Well, some busy times, I had seen lately. MBA Final year, final sem.....so Placements. Yep ! got to have a job dude before its too late.
Late ? Means landing in the safe zone before a preconceived time in the semester before which you think to get placed, considering your competitors -- your batchmates.
Well, in the first place I didn't do any such thing.
Yes, may be due to that i wasn't selected for the first few companies. Though before declaring the names each one of them said that the rest are good too. Then why didn't they select us ? I don't know.
Ok..Whatever... it must have been their day, those who got selected.
But in the midst of all these rejections, I was gaining something somewhere. People say that you build up on your confidence when you go for the next one. I can't say anything about that but yes, somethings do happen. May be the crease of your blazer gets dampened or the shine of the tie keeps losing. and the guy sitting on the other side of the table somehow senses this easily. Well whatever be it, who cares dude !!
Actually in this so called tenure, i gave my best as well as worst shot.

The time when the interview results are out and you are not selected. Even if you had given your best shot, you thought this was the company you were made for, this was the moment you waited for. On listening to the pre-placement talk and the job profile you said to yourself, Dude, This is it. But then after some time it was like...hey, wait. This is not what the interviewers thought. Yes in plain simple english, they rejected you !
So, what to do then. Nothing much. just come out of that place the sooner you can. Look for a similar guy whose day it was not. The guy should not be a talkataive one, generally which is very difficult to find in courses like MBA. Go for a walk with him. Go long. And long enough that you start to feel cut-off from that interview world. Stay there for some time. Talk less. Listen less. Eat more. Walk more. Come back straight to your room. And go to the bed. The next day when you wake up, treat yourself normally as if nothing had happened. At-least try.
Its actually both tough and easy times till you are not selected.

Tough in the way that you see the numbers increasing day by day, faces turning happier, tension free, as we call it here. Yes, even though we study in IIT Roorkee. Don't go by the name and the economic times report which says that the job market has improved giving some substantiations based on some job offerings in some IIM. There is a huge difference when it comes to MBA from IIM and IIT. The single alphabet change creates a big difference in the mind of the recruiters and equally reflects in the pay package.
And easy time too, in the way that people don't notice you much. Well, nothing more on this.
Ok...so one of those interviews which people call a stress interview. What exactly should one do. Many say that don't panic and keep your cool. Dude, let me tell you this. till the time you panic or loose your calm, the stress continues and no one of us are Laloo Prasad Yadav.
So what I say is...let it be. Let them see your natural side. Let them hear you when you loose your calm, let them decide whatever they want to.
This is what happened in my last interview. Last because I got selected in it and so was not allowed to appear any more.
C'mmon ! We have to get the whole batch placed before we can think of double placements, we are in an IIT dude not IIM.
Dude...Now give me a break !!
